Tara Campbell new Senior VP of Lending and Investments

We are pleased to welcome Tara Campbell as Initiative Capital’s Senior VP of Lending and Investments.

Campbell’s depth of experience includes serving as a bank branch manager, Vice President of Business Banking and as Director of Lending, most recently for IFF, a regional CDFI, to open their Columbus, Ohio office and expand visibility through out the state of Ohio.  Her commitment in each position has been to finance projects that change systems, create jobs and spur economic development to improve the quality of life for people in the communities that her organization serves.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tara Campbell as our new Senior VP of Lending and Investments,” notes Initiative CEO Tara Kenchen.  “Campbell’s diverse experience will deepen the Initiative’s lending impact across the state.”

Campbell joins the Initiative Capital staff at a time of rapid growth. In 2016 Initiative Capital originated more that $4.4 million in new loans that will expand access to affordable housing, promote community revitalization, help a neighborhood guard against gentrification, and demonstrate new models of innovative development finance. Campbell will manage continued expansion for the CDFI, including a new $1 million grant through the Uplift America program to expand community facilities lending activities in rural communities.

“I am extremely excited for the opportunity to have my passion and professional skill set intersect with an impressive organization in growth mode,” notes Campbell.  The Initiative’s innovative approach providing both access to capital and investment in catalytic projects that spur economic and community development improves the quality of life for people across North Carolina. “

Please join us in welcoming Tara Campbell to North Carolina and to our collective work of building stronger communities.
